This lot has the most beautiful view in the subdivision, looking 1/3 mile down a beautiful canal to the west. This is a freshwater canal with kayaking and other non-motorized boating and fishing. Cool breezes in the evening. Watch the sunset reflecting on the water from your deck as you sip on some iced tea or a margarita. Developer says he is building a marina with access to Tres Palacios and Matagorda Bays. Prices are going up. This area has so much history, with the original inhabitants the Karankawa Indians and La Salle's shipwrecked ship La Belle being found in Matagorda Bay (it is now on display at the Bob Bullock Museum in Austin). This subdivision was Camp Hulen during WW2, where our soldiers were trained in anti-aircraft warfare.
